This artist was born in 1958 on Christmas day in Los Alamos New Mexico. I was raised there, and when I finished high school, I was voted by fellow students to be "the most likely to ski". For two ski seasons, I ski bummed in Steamboat Springs Colorado. Then I moved to Crested Butte. While there, I applied and was accepted at Western State College of Colorado in nearby Gunnison, but I did not sign up for classes. Instead in 1981, I enrolled at Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute of New Mexico to study the newly emerging field of electronics. This kept me busy for about twenty years.

Around 2001, I had made to much money for someone with a simple two year degree in electronics.  Not understanding this, I began to study computer software to become a better technician. I next ended up with a two year degree in computer science from Red Rocks Community College of Lakewood Colorado. Now, this field needs a four year degree, so I reapplied at Western State College. So, I returned to the valley of Crested Butte or Gunnison county where I completed my Bachelors degree in Computer Science.

So you see I was back to where I had left skiing off at. In school, I took an art class and another, and another. Two were in watercolor painting. And so, I began to paint. To date I have had trouble leaving the valley of Gunnison. The Indians used to say this: "If the valley likes you, you stay.

Otherwise you leave". So here we are today working and producing art from Gunnison Colorado. The questions are obvious: were the Indians right, how about his high school class mates? Anyway that's the story to date.

Update February 2008: "Ok so I don't ski much anymore. I have trouble affording it these days, and well, to me our generation tamed the sport, maybe" I ski some each year in the hopes that I shall end up with 50 seasons running. Also, as for computer programming, this might be about the extent of it for now. What happened with that is up to my culture to explain.
